Check out these amazing Drew Struzan inspired The Dark Knight Trilogy posters by alexanderstojanov. I may need to get prints of these for my office/home/anywhere really.
I want each one of these up in my room. They are fantastic.
The strangler is a rare poison, which makes the person unable to breathe. The poison is made from plants that are only found on islands in the Jade Sea. The leaves of the plant are picked and aged, then soaked in a wash of limes, sugar water and rare spices from the Summer Islands. The leaves are then discarded, but the liquid is kept and thickened with ash and allowed to crystallize. It turns a deep purple color.

The Proper Art of Writing (1655)
I stumbled upon these calligraphy examples on The Public Domain Review. They are taken from a 17th Century German book. Some of the characters are so highly decorated aren’t even recognisable anymore.
The volumes’ full title is as extravagant as the examples it shows: The Proper Art of Writing: a compilation of all sorts of capital or initial letters of German, Latin and Italian fonts from different masters of the noble art of writing. See more here
